Speculation and rumors: Bayern's search for a coach is in full swing

In the midst of the debate about Tuchel's successor at FC Bayern, ex-Munich player Martín Demichelis has made his commitment to River Plate.

“Contracts are there to be adhered to,” said the 43-year-old coach of the Argentine first division soccer team at a press conference on Thursday night (local time). “I am ready to give the best of myself. The day I can't do it anymore, I'll be the first to raise my hand, regardless of whether I still have a contract or not." Demichelis still has a contract with River until the end of 2025.

When looking for a new Bayern coach, TV expert Lothar Matthäus recently brought Demichelis into the game. Before his position at River Plate, the former Bayern professional was already a youth and amateur coach in Munich in his home country.

The top favorite for the coaching position at Bayern is Ralf Rangnick (65). According to the sports director of the Austrian Football Association (ÖFB), Peter Schöttel, the Austrian national coach has received an offer from Munich. Rangnick is now considering whether he wants to accept the offer from Munich.
