Award for the PRS European PRO Series with Markus Zadra in third place.

Podium finish for Markus Zadra

Recently, the second edition of the PRS European PRO Series Matches took place in one of the most beautiful long range shooting ranges in Europe, le Arcate in Collesalvetti near Livorno.

PRS is the abbreviation for Precision Rifle Shooting, a dynamic long range discipline with long rifles over distances of 200 to 1.000 m. With a total of 15 nations, which was exceptionally high for Europe, this competition was a two full day event for every shooter in strong wind and rain, a very big challenge.

Some of the best professional shooters from all over Europe took part in extremely exciting competitions, the outcome of which was also helped by the meteorological conditions. This time it was the shooters from northern countries such as Norway and Denmark who performed best. In contrast to other disciplines, the PRS European PRO Series Matches only have three categories: Open, Senior and Ladies. In the senior class, Markus Zadra achieved an exceptional performance and a podium finish. Behind the Dane Jens Bramming and the Austrian Stefan Zeindl, Markus Zadra won an excellent third place in this PRS European PRO Series and thus qualified for the final.

Markus Zadra: “When you least expect it, sometimes it happens. This year I never would have dreamed of getting a podium finish. Every year the level increases incredibly as there has been a real boom in this discipline.
While there were an average of six or seven nations last year, there were already 15 at the beginning of this sporting year. Including several PRO shooters who were also successful in the USA.”
