Completely new color: Ferrari is causing a stir

Formula 1 is taking a break this week and the Grand Prix in Miami is on the agenda next weekend. The traditional racing team Ferrari caused a lot of excitement among its fans in advance.

There were two turbulent reports for Ferrari fans this week. On the one hand, it became official that the name of the racing team would be slightly modified. Because the technology company Hewlett-Packard (HP) is investing in Maranello as part of a multi-year contract worth millions, the traditional racing team will in future be called “Scuderia Ferrari HP”.

On the other hand, it was announced that Ferrari - whose big trademark is the red color - will be dressed in a new look at the GP in Miami. The pilots Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz will sit in their cockpit in turquoise overalls. Some turquoise adjustments will also be made to the red car, but what exactly they will look like is not yet known.

Mixed feelings among fans

The racing team wants to celebrate its 70th anniversary in the USA. At that time, Ferrari actually sometimes drove in blue instead of red. The new colors certainly caused very mixed feelings among the fans. “Enzo (Ferrari, editor’s note) would turn in his grave,” commented one user on Instagram. “Forgive them Enzo, they don’t know what they’re doing,” said another user. Others, on the other hand, can get used to the anniversary look. And: After the race in Miami, Ferrari should return to the traditional red.
