World Cup start: The Azzurri relay is ready

Dorothea Wierer, Lukas Hofer and Co. will fight for a good start to the new season at the start of the biathletes' World Cup on Saturday. There are two races taking place.

The new biathlon season begins on Saturday, a highlight of winter sports for many South Tyrolean fans. The World Cup will be opened by two relay competitions, which will delight viewers in Östersund, Sweden and at home in front of their TV sets at 12.30 p.m. and 14.50 p.m. As in previous years, the relay squads are full of top South Tyrolean athletes.


Officially opening the season will be fast shooter Rebecca Passler and comeback athlete Lukas Hofer, who will be hunting for the targets for the Azzurri in the single mixed relay starting at 12.30 p.m. A little later at 14.50:XNUMX p.m. Didier Bionaz, Tommaso Giacomel, Dorothea Wierer and Lisa Vittozzi will start the mixed relay together.
