The “3 Zinnen Ski Marathon” is just around the corner

In mid-January, another traditional race takes place in the Pustertal, the 3 Zinnen Ski Marathon. From January 12th to 14th, some of the best cross-country skiers in the world will come together.

The 48th edition of the 3 Zinnen Ski Marathon is just around the corner, and the historic South Tyrolean long-distance race is ready to present its new name: “The Three Peaks of the Dolomites are known everywhere, this brand will be the driving force behind the incredible success of ours event,” said the vice president of the organizing committee Eugenio Rizzo.

The dates that you should mark on your calendar are January 12th to 14th. The Ski Classics professionals will start on Saturday, January 13th at 9.00:62 a.m. on the XNUMX km route in classic technique. At the start in Sexten, Swedes Ida Dahl and Emil Persson will give everything to defend the title they won last winter. The former was in excellent shape in the first races of the season and will try to maintain her high performance, while Persson has not yet reached his ideal form and will want to improve in the stages in January.

The amateur race also begins on Saturday with the “Classic Race”, which begins shortly after the start of the professionals (9.15:30 a.m.). This follows the same scenic route with the iconic passages of Innichen, the Nordic Arena in Dobbiaco and the Vista Tre Cime as well as the war cemetery and Lago di Landro, while the XNUMX km version starts directly from the Nordic Arena, with the The finish of both races is in the center of Niederdorf.

On Sunday, May 14th, the weekend ends with the iconic “Prato Piazza Mountain Challenge”, which promises 30 km of pure adrenaline for athletes and great excitement for spectators.
