Klobenstein is ready for the Junior World Cup

This weekend the time has come: the Junior World Cup in speed skating will take place on the ice ring of the Ritten Arena in Klobenstein. No fewer than 258 athletes from 27 nations will then compete against each other on the fast open-air facility on the high plateau for valuable points for the overall ranking.

It is the big highlight of this winter at the Ritten Arena and the organizers are correspondingly motivated: “I am proud of my team and the organizing committee, who spared no effort to bring this event to us on the Ritten,” says Adelheid Ramoser, Vice Head of Speed Skating at Ritten Sport. “We are particularly happy that the athletes arrived on Monday, November 27th to train on our ice ring.”

The facility has been in operation since November 16th and is used daily by the Ritten speed skaters. A Grand Prix also took place, which was carried out with flying colors and served as a dress rehearsal for the Junior World Cup. Since Monday, you can now see numerous skate athletes in their national team's racing suits doing their laps on the ice ring. After all, the over 250 participants come from 27 different nations. In addition to numerous European associations, the national teams from China, Colombia, Taiwan and the USA are also on site. The hotels on the Ritten are therefore all fully booked, which should also please the Ritten tourism sector.
