South Tyroleans have no chance in Sigulda – Langenhan gets crystal

Max Langenhan secured the big crystal ball at the Toboggan World Cup in Sigulda (LAT). The South Tyroleans had no chance on Sunday.

Alex Gufler was the best South Tyrolean in Sigulda, but only came in 14th. Dominik Filehner finished one place behind, Leon Felderer finished the race in 17th place. The main actors in the Latvian ice track were others, especially the German team.


While Felix Loch secured his first win of the season, his teammate Max Langenhan took the overall World Cup. The 25-year-old took third place in the single-seater on Sunday and can therefore no longer be pushed out of the top spot in the overall World Cup before the last two races. The German benefited from the fact that his biggest competitor Jonas Müller (AUT) fell. Kisters Aparjods (LAT) completed the podium in second place.

It had already happened on Saturday Julia Taubitz (GER) among the women won the overall World Cup.
