In the case of a thousandth thriller: Vötter/Oberhofer are once again making people sit up and take notice

Second place for Andrea Vötter and Marion Oberhofer at the World Cup in Oberhof (Germany). The two South Tyroleans showed an extremely strong performance on Saturday and consequently made it to the podium.

At the World Cup race in Oberhof (Germany), the two South Tyroleans Andrea Vötter and Marion Oberhofer took second place in the women's doubles. After the first round, the two were already in second place, just 0,006 seconds behind the Germans Degenhardt/Rosenthal. However, they were no longer able to keep up in the second round and ended up in third place, just a hundredth of a second behind the South Tyroleans. The duo Dajana Eitberger/Saskia Schirmer from Germany won the day. They were still in third place after the first run, but improved significantly in the second run and won with a lead of 0,008 seconds over Vötter/Oberhofer.


In total, only 12 teams competed in the women's competition. The normally strong Austrians Selina Egle and Lara Michaela Kipp had to make do with fourth place.
