6th title for Brady: Patriots win Super Bowl

In Atlanta, Georgia, the team led by star quarterback Tom Brady beat the Los Angeles Rams 13-3 in the disappointing final of the US professional football league NFL. There has never been a lower point yield. New England, which lost to the Philadelphia Eagles in the final a year ago, had previously won the Vince Lombardi Trophy in 2002, 2004, 2005, 2015 and 2017.

“It was an incredible season. I can't believe it, we're Super Bowl champions. It’s a dream come true for all of us,” said Brady, who is the first player to receive his sixth championship ring. He found praise for the opponent: “They had a great defense and a great plan.” Julian Edelman was named most valuable player (MVP), the Patriots wide receiver caught ten passes for 141 yards.

With success in the 53rd Super Bowl, Brady (41) and head coach Bill Belichick (66) improved their already impressive record. The duo directed all six of the Patriots' title wins on and off the field, making it their ninth final appearance together. On the other hand, the Rams have to wait for their second championship around their inexperienced quarterback Jared Goff (24) and Sean McVay (33), the youngest coach in history in the Super Bowl. The franchise had triumphed for the only time so far in 2000, when the Rams were still at home in St. Louis and won in Atlanta.

In the coming season, Brady and Belichick will try to leave Pittsburgh behind with the Patriots and become the sole record holder. Superstar Brady has announced that he wants to play until he is 45, and Belichick also wants to continue.
