More games, more salary: NFL receives new collective agreement

The NFLPA players union described the decision as “the result of a democratic process.” The most important cornerstones of the new agreement include an increase in the number of playoff participants by two teams to 14 for the coming season. In 2021/22, the number of games per team in the regular season is to be increased from 16 to 17. In addition, the basic salary, performance-related pay and players' incomes will be increased.
