Second coaching departure at the Patriots: McDaniels goes to the Colts

Indianapolis (SID) After the defeat in the Super Bowl, the New England Patriots from the NFL professional football league are losing the next master of the success of recent years. On Tuesday, league rival Indianapolis Colts announced the hiring of New England's previous offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels as their new head coach. The day before, defensive coordinator Matt Patricia, who will also become head coach of the Detroit Lions, said goodbye. Between 2001 and 2008 and from 2012, McDaniels worked in various positions in the coaching staff of quarterback superstar Tom Brady's team and was involved in all five Super Bowl victories of the franchise from Foxborough, Massachusetts. With the Colts, he replaces Chuck Pagano, who was fired on New Year's Eve after six seasons in Indianapolis. On Wednesday, McDaniels will be officially introduced to the two-time Super Bowl champions. This is the 41-year-old's second position as head coach. He had to leave the Denver Broncos in his second season in 2010.
