“We can’t thank Thomas Sabo enough for his eleven years as main and title sponsor. Through their commitment, the company and above all Thomas Sabo himself have played a major role in ensuring that we can position ourselves for the future today,” said Ice Tigers managing director Wolfgang Gastner: “We started developing the Ice Tigers economically almost two years ago to set broader shoulders and thus get the Nuremberg Ice Tigers back on track.”

Patron Thomas Sabo joined in 2009 and saved the club from bankruptcy. In total, the jewelry entrepreneur donated a double-digit million amount.

The DEL founding member also said that the announcement of the new shareholder and sponsor structure is currently planned for a later date before the start of the season - depending on developments surrounding the corona virus.
