The “Azzurri” want to erase the shame of Vail

Sofia Goggia, Federica Brignone, Elena Curtoni and Francesca Marsaglia open the hunt for gold, silver and bronze on Tuesday afternoon in St. Moritz. However, Peter Fill, who won silver in the Super G in Val d'Isere in 2009 and bronze in the Super Combined two years later in Garmisch, is reaching for his third World Championship medal. The most successful World Cup from the Azzzurri's point of view were the 1996 title fights in the Sierra Nevada, when Italy won four gold medals (twice Tomba, once Compagnoni and once Isolde Kostner) and once silver (through Ghedina).
