Fourcade keeps the Norwegians at bay - Windisch 25.

The French World Cup dominator Martin Fourcade successfully defended his World Cup title from last year. After just one missed shot, he moved ahead of the Norwegian Johannes Thingnes Bø (3 misses) and his compatriot Ole Einar Bjø rndalen (1) through. The 43-year-old record world champion sensationally won the 45th World Cup medal of his career. For Fourcade, however, this is the third precious metal in the ongoing title fights in Hochfilzen. He previously won silver in the mixed relay and bronze in the individual sprint. “I have now won a complete set of medals and have therefore achieved a big goal. That is an enormous satisfaction. Now I want to further expand my yield in the second week," said the Frenchman in the winner's interview. Windisch fails in prone shooting The pursuit competition didn't go according to plan for Dominik Windisch. He made two errors in the first prone stage and another one in the second. After that he remained flawless, but higher than 25th place was no longer possible. The other two Azzurri, Giuseppe Montello and Thomas Bromolini, finished 34th and 48th. Lukas Hofer had decided not to start at short notice. The ski hunters can now recharge their batteries until Wednesday. Then the World Cup program continues with the women's individual competition.
