Doubles gold for Germany – Nagler/Malleier a good seventh place

The German artificial track lugers won another gold medal, although the victory in the doubles did not go to the slightly favored Toni Eggert/Sascha Benecken, who won bronze, but to the two “Tobis” Tobias Wendl/Tobias Arlt. The two South Tyrolean duos Ivan/Malleier and Ludwig Rieder/Patrick Rastner came in 7th and 15th.
