An Olympics that was disappointing for me from a South Tyrolean and Italian point of view with only 10 medals is coming to an end. Many say it was missing the last bit of luck, I mean it was just not enough overall. There is a lack of quality across the board, too few are even considered for a medal and for these few it's only possible with a bit of "luck" if everything goes smoothly. In relation to the number of inhabitants (even if you leave out central and southern Italy), we are currently a "banana republic" compared to Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway and France. That hurts and I hope that this calvarium at least leads to unthinking.
