Ester Ledecka caused one of the biggest sensations ever at the Winter Olympics on Saturday. Actually a snowboard ace, she skied away from everyone in the Super-G and won gold - a success that surprised herself the most.

To the editor:
Wasn't our South Tyrolean athlete Gerda Weissensteiner forgotten, who also won Olympic medals in two different disciplines and not just the Russian Anfissa Reszowa?
Gold and bronze with the toboggan in the ice track and bronze in the two-man bobsleigh.
