When I read that one of our best athletes Dominik Paris writes that he can't keep up with the best at the moment, I have to ask myself the question of why. In my opinion, the main blame lies with the current FISI organization, which provides significantly fewer financial resources and below-average professionalism, even from the grassroots level (young talent).
There isn't a single young punter in the Italian team, they've all been well-known players for years who don't have any positive pressure from newcomers and therefore don't have to push themselves to their limits in training. Germany, Austria and Norway are showing what would be possible...
