First golden blessing for Azzurri – silver in fencing

On Saturday, Vito Dell'Aquila captured the Azzurri's first Olympic gold medal. The 20-year-old prevailed in the final of the class up to 58 kilograms against the Tunisian Mohamed Jendoubi (16:12). In fencing, Luigi Samele won silver for the Azzurri's second medal in Tokyo.
