Swiss women in a rush for medals – and a South Tyrolean is cheering along

The race on the difficult course in Izu, west of Tokyo, literally became a Swiss championship on Tuesday. The strong Swiss were at the forefront right from the start. Jolanda Neff was soon able to pull away and gain a reasonable lead. At the beginning of the fourth lap, three Swiss women were already in the lead, Neff was one minute ahead of her compatriots Sina Frei and Linda Indergand.

The Swiss women couldn't miss their triple success and won gold, silver and bronze after outstanding performances. The 28-year-old Neff won clearly. Her teammates Frei (silver) and Indergand (bronze) were 20,85:1.11 and 1.19:XNUMX minutes behind at the finish of the XNUMX-kilometer circuit.
