Eva Lechner: “I will get up again” Mountain biker Eva Lechner came in 18th in her Olympic competition. The Eppan woman would have expected more, but this placement does not take away from the outstanding career that the 31-year-old has had so far. “I wasn't physically at my best,” said Lechner, “but I still tried to give it my all, but unfortunately that was all I could do. Not everything went according to plan this season, but that's a big incentive for me to do better in the near future. I know that I can compete with the best in the world. That's why I'll work even harder on myself in the next few weeks, months and years. We’ll see whether it’s enough for Tokyo.”
