Carolina Kostner wins 39th Olympic medal for South Tyrol
After Christof Innerhofer (silver in the downhill, bronze in the super combined), Armin Zöggeler (bronze in the luge) and the local biathlon quartet of Dorothea Wierer, Karin Oberhofer, Dominik Windisch and Lukas Hofer (bronze in the mixed relay) Carolina Kostner also climbed onto the Olympic podium on Thursday. In the women's individual competition, Val Gardena's figure skating princess won gold/silver/bronze and thus fulfilled her dream of her first Olympic medal. This is the fifth South Tyrolean medal at the Games in Sochi, the 39th overall for our country at the Winter Olympics. SportNews presents all local Olympic medalists.
