Innerhofer strikes again: silver in the Olympic downhill!

What a ride from Christof Innerhofer! The 29-year-old from Gais showed his class in the Olympic downhill and came second, clinching the first Italian precious metal in Sochi. This is the first South Tyrolean Olympic medal in alpine skiing since Salt Lake City 2002, when Isolde Koster and Karen Putzer brought home precious metal. Gold went to the Austrian Matthias Mayer. Peter Fill, Werner Heel and Dominik Paris all made it into the top 12.
