Mario Matt takes gold – Manfred Mölgg is eliminated

The Austrians celebrated a double victory in the last “Alpine” competition, the men’s slalom. The half-time leader Mario Matt prevailed ahead of his compatriot Marcel Hirscher. Bronze went to Norwegian Henrik Kristoffersen, while Stefano Gross missed the podium by just five hundredths. There was nothing to gain for the South Tyroleans. Manfred Mölgg was eliminated in the second round, as was Patrick Thaler in the first run.
