2 South Tyroleans tackle the Red Bull X-Alps

Red Bull X-Alps is the toughest adventure race in the world. With each edition, the participants once again demonstrate their incredible mental and physical strength. The tenth edition starts on June 20, 2021. Then 33 world-class athletes from 17 nations will compete head-to-head across the Alps, in which they will have to overcome over 1.000 kilometers of alpine terrain exclusively on foot or by paraglider.

To reach their goal, the athletes have to cross Europe's highest mountain ranges between the northern and southern edges of the Alps several times and cover 100 km or more per day. The exact route will be published on March 16, 2021 and leads through various countries along a currently secret number of turnpoints. In any case, it starts in Salzburg. Durogati and Grossrubatscher are there The two South Tyrolean extreme athletes Aaron Durogati and Tobias Grossrubatscher are also there. Both are veterans, which means that they have already tackled the adventurous race in the past. With Nicola Donini, another extreme athlete from Italy will be there - but as a rookie, i.e. for the first time.

The line-up for Red Bull X-Alps 2021 is one of the strongest in the history of hike and fly racing. With a mix of seasoned veterans and first-time rookies, the selection for the world's toughest adventure race is more exciting than ever. The entire starting field comes from near and far, including countries such as Brazil, Japan and Russia.
