Andreas Reiterer triumphs at “Ötzi”

Reiterer won after the 3 sections mountain bike (25,1km/1743hm), running (10,6km/503hm) and ski mountaineering (6,5km/1201hm) with a time of 2:55.34 hours. The 29-year-old from Haflinger left Georg Piazza from Val Gardena (2:58.10 hours) behind and celebrated his first victory in this triathlon. Andreas Crivellin from Germany came in 3rd place with a time of 00.19:3 hours.

In the women's category, Austrian Stephanie Kröll won her first victory in her first participation. The North Tyrolean won with a time of 3:38.14 hours ahead of the East Tyrolean Susanne Mair (3:43.28). Third place among the women went to the German Alexandra Altmann (3:3).

In the men's relay, “Team Crazy” with Hans Peter Obwaller, Armin Larch and Philipp Götsch could not be beaten with a time of 2:30.48 hours. In the women’s category, “Die Stoabockigen” with Kathrin Oettl, Marianne Oettl and Evi Gudelius were victorious in 3:52.20 hours. The team “Don't break your bones” with Dennis Pohl, Hauke Horstmann and Lena Brunkhorst won the mixed relay competition.

A duathlon was held for the first time this year. This consisted of the running route and the ski touring section. The victories went to Andreas Innerebner from Sarn (1:15.07 hours) and Andrea Schweigkofler from Merano (1:40.32). In the men's relay, the Spiquy team with Gabriele Del Longo and Nicola Pais (1:13.19 hours) took victory, in the women's relay the duo “Vinschger Frauenpower” with Petra Pircher and Gerlinde Baldauf (1:133.07) and in The mixed relay was the Rainer Bäck Raceteam Sillian with Gerlinde Rainer and Peter Rainer.

The organizers around ASV Schnals ensured that the extreme sports event ran smoothly. Due to the adverse weather conditions, it was decided the day before to change the ski touring route. So the race didn't go up to the Schnals Glacier but up to Lazaun.
