The Transalpine Run has reached South Tyrol

With three second and two first places, Daniel Jung (Latsch) and Helmut Schiessl (Allgäu) extended the lead in the overall ranking to 13.18 minutes before the last two stages. They won with a time of 3:08.12 hours and distanced overall runners-up Ivan Paulmichl and Michael Kabicher by 1.38 minutes. Third place went to Benjamin Bublak and Christoph Lauterbach from Germany for the first time.

In the Master Mixed category, the strong South Tyrolean teams captured two podium places, but had to bow to a German duo in the fight for victory. Eva Farbenböck and Bode Mathis completed today's course in 3.57.58:5.58:XNUMX hours and left the leaders in the category ranking, Irene Senfter (Lana) and Jens Kramer (Steinegg), behind by XNUMX:XNUMX minutes. In doing so, they reduced their gap to the South Tyrolean pairing in the overall standings to four minutes. Maria Kemenater and Franz Kröss came third.

In the Senior Master category, Josef Blasinger and Martin Mair (Sarntal) again took second place. They thus consolidated third place in the overall ranking behind the uncatchable Jörg Schreib and Thomas Miksch (1st) and Falk Hübner and Andreas Panthen (2nd).

Tomorrow, on the sixth and penultimate stage, the participants will cover 33,60 km and 2440 m altitude on the route from St. Leonhard in Passeier to Sarnthein before reaching the finish in Brixen on Saturday. In seven days, the 600 participants have to cover a total of 247,2 km and 14.862 meters in altitude ascent and 14.998 meters in descent.
