Successful defending champions at the Stettiner Cup

After the start in the parking lot in Pfelders, Hannes Perkmann picked up the pace and celebrated a confident start-to-finish victory a good hour later. That still stuck in my legs a little bit. But I just really like the route here in the Passeier Valley. There is something for everyone because the beginning part is relatively flat and after that it gets pretty intense. Of course I’m very happy about the victory,” said Perkmann at the finish.

Tarcisio Linardi from Trento took second place. The cyclist has only been taking part in mountain races for a few years. Completing the podium was Henry Hofer from Sarner, who came second behind Perkmann last year.

Pircher increases the pace after three kilometers In the women's race, Petra Pircher felt so strong that after just three kilometers she decided to move up a gear. And Pircher's tactics worked. Because her fiercest opponents, including Edeltraud Thaler, Sandra Stuefer and Elena Casaro, could not keep up with the pace. Pircher reached the finish after 1:16.40 hours and was happy about her second success in the Passirier mountain running classic. “I think the heat made it difficult for all participants today. I struggled with this too. But shortly after the start I had a very good feeling. The Stettiner Cup is a great race, always perfectly organized and we are now enjoying the sun, which was a little harsh during the race, to the fullest,” said the woman from Lasa.

Behind Pircher, Elena Casaro from Dobbiaco took second place. Edeltraud Thaler, on the other hand, brought luck with the 13. The Lanan woman came third in her 13th participation. Successful defending champions at the Stettiner Cup
