On the net: Solo climber conquers rock face without safety
In June, the American Alex Honnold climbed the 1000-meter-high "El Capitan" steep face in Yosemite National Park, California, alone and without safety equipment. The extreme climber described this first ascent as the “moon landing of free climbing”.
