Sky Run: Around South Tyrol in ten days

The two endurance athletes started on Wednesday at 5 a.m. in Salurn. The first stage led over the via ferrata to Fennberg, on to the Mendel and over St. Felix and Rabbijoch to the Haselgruberhütte.

On the second day the tour led over the Schwärzenjoch and the Langenfernerjoch to the Stilfserjoch. We continued via the Tartscher Kopf to Taufers in the Münstertal.

Day three on Friday leads through the Avigna Valley to the Sesvenna Hut and the Reschen Pass. The destination is the Weißkugelhütte. On the fourth day we go over the Weißkugel, the Hauslabjoch (where Ötzi was found) and further into the Pfossental and the Timmelsjoch. The night's accommodation is the miller's hut.

On the fifth day we go over the Magdeburger Scharte to the Brenner Pass and over the Wildseespitze to the Pfitscherjochhaus. Day six leads via the Hochfeiler and Edelrauthütte to the Stabeler Höhenweg and then via the Lausitzer Weg to the Birnlückenhütte.

After spending the night, we go over the Rötfleckscharte, through the Arvental to the Klammljoch and the Rosshornscharte, then over the Jägerscharte down to the Staller Sattel. From there the path leads to the Toblacher Pfannhorn and further towards Winnebach to spend the night. On the eighth day there is the climb to the Helm, down to the Kreuzberg Pass and to the Three Peaks. From Schluderbach you then go up to the Plätzwiese mountain inn.

The ninth day begins with the climb towards Sennes See and Forcella de Salares. Via Pralongia and Campolongo Pass you go to the Piz Boè, from there over the Sellastock to the Sella Pass and to the Tierseralpl refuge.

The daring undertaking is expected to end on the tenth day with the route Molignonpass-Tschagerjoch-Hirzelweg -Karerpass-Latemar-Schwarzhorn-Leitenspitze-Luganopass-Altrei-Trudnerhorn-Salurn.

Alexander Rabensteiner and Jimmy Pellegrini want to cover 770 kilometers along the national border in ten days. The two extreme athletes have to climb around 60.000 meters in altitude.
