First win for Tuchel with Chelsea

Four days after his goalless debut against Wolverhampton Wanderers, the former Bundesliga coach saw the Blues win 2-0 (1-0) against Burnley FC. Tuchel initially climbed to seventh place in the Premier League with his new employer, where he succeeded the hapless club icon Frank Lampard last Tuesday. Cesar Azpilicueta took the lead in the 40th minute, and his Spanish compatriot Marcos Alonso made the decision shortly before the end (84th).

Tuchel, who was released from French champions Paris St. Germain just a month ago, relied on German internationals Antonio Rüdiger and Timo Werner in the starting line-up. Ex-Leverkusen player Kai Havertz came on as a substitute in the final phase.

Champions FC Liverpool took advantage of Leicester City's mistake and moved past the Foxes with their second win in a row in the English Premier League. German team manager Jürgen Klopp's team won 57-68 (84-3) at direct rivals West Ham United on Sunday evening thanks to a brace from star striker Mohamed Salah (1th/0th) and a goal from Georginio Wijnaldum (0th).
