Government pulls the emergency brake: Ligue 1 is about to be canceled

The French Ligue 1 is about to end its season due to the coronavirus pandemic. Prime Minister Édouard Philippe said in a speech to the National Assembly on Tuesday that the 2019-20 season of professional sports cannot resume.
