ENGLAND: The Premier League wants to restart on June 17th with two catch-up games. “This date cannot be confirmed until we have met all necessary safety requirements as the health and well-being of all involved and fans is our priority,” league chief executive Richard Masters said on Thursday. Manchester City against Arsenal and Aston Villa against Sheffield United should be the first games. The first full day of play is scheduled for the following weekend. The clubs had already spoken out in favor of a return to team training on Wednesday. Canceled leagues: FRANCE: Ligue 1 was the first of the top leagues to end the season on April 30th. In Sweden the new season is even scheduled to begin with an audience on June 14th - in Norway on June 16th.
