Successful debut for Pirlo: Juve defeats Sampdoria

The opening game was played in front of 1000 fans, who have been allowed back into Serie A since this Sunday. The government in Rome announced this on Saturday after consultations between the responsible ministers and representatives of the regions. Previously, an announcement by Sports Minister Vincenzo Spadafora, who announced the admission of 1000 spectators to outdoor sporting events, but did not mention Serie A, caused a stir.

The league complained about a lack of respect and dialogue, and some regions reopened their stadiums to fans on their own initiative. The nationwide regulation with 1000 spectators per event applies until October 7th. There is still criticism that this initially only applies to Serie A and not to the other leagues.

Napoli had already celebrated a perfect start on Sunday afternoon and won 2-0 at Parma.

On Sunday afternoon Genoa celebrated a 4-1 win against newly promoted Crotone. Sassuolo and Cagliari drew 1-1.
