Inter hand Napoli their first league defeat

The first minutes in the top game of Serie A between leaders Napoli and Inter clearly belonged to the Milanese. Simone Inzaghi's team seemed fresher and better tactically adjusted. Romelu Lukaku shone again and again with dangerous runs into the spaces, while Matteo Darmian and Federico Dimarco caused major problems for the Napoli defense on the flanks. Sometimes only centimeters were missing from the lead after the shots of these three protagonists. Because Henrikh Mkhitaryan had a flash of inspiration in midfield and, after a wonderful turn, served Dimarco on the flank with a dream pass. He followed suit with his teammate and placed his cross precisely on Dzeko's head, who slammed the ball powerfully into the goal. No chance for Napoli keeper Alex Meret.

Although the guests then woke up and had great opportunities thanks to Giacomo Raspadori and the splendid Kvaratskhelia, the Inter defense held and the game ended 1-0. This gave Milan Napoli their first defeat of the current Serie A season.

Juventus Turin also started the new season successfully. The Bianconeri narrowly defeated US Cremonese 1-0, with Arkadiusz Milik's goal in stoppage time providing relief for Max Allegri and Co. late on.
