Inter wins the hit: 1st defeat for Napoli

The Milanese team beat leaders Napoli 13-3 in front of their own crowd in the 2th round hit early in the evening and moved up to 4 points from the league leaders in third place. Inter have been unbeaten in five games and have not lost in competitive games on seven occasions. After 1-1 in the derby against AC Milan “big points” were collected again. For Napoli, however, it was the first defeat of the current Serie A season.

Piotr Zielinski gave the visitors from Naples the lead after 17 minutes, and Hakan Calhanoglu equalized with a penalty in the 25th minute. This was preceded by a handball from Kalidou Koulibaly. Ivan Perisic headed in the 44th minute from a corner cross from Calhanoglu to make it 2-1.

After around an hour it was Lautaro Martinez (61') who increased the score to 3-1. The Belgian Dries Mertens scored the next goal in the 79th minute. With his goal, Mertens went down in Naples club history; with 103 Serie A goals, he is now the club's most successful goalscorer. Mertens previously shared the record with Antonio Vojak, who played for Napoli from 1929 to 1935. Napoli recently threw everything forward again and had a chance to equalize in the final phase, but it was about to fall and Inter won the top game 3-2.

Since Milan, second in the table, also suffered their first defeat on this match day ( The Rossoneri lost 3-4 in Florence on Saturday ), the Nerazzurri were the winners of the matchday and were able to successfully reduce the gap to the top of the table.
