Juve and Milan are celebrating, Napoli is struggling: Serie A is over

It had been clear for a long time that Inter were champions, Conte's troops had already dispatched Udinese in the afternoon and may have swapped the evening games with the Scudetto celebrations. Behind it, however, it was exciting until the end: Who will grab the last two Champions League places (Atalanta had already qualified before)? Milan, Napoli and Juventus won the race, although the latter still had to hope that the others would lose or draw if they won.

Juventus did their job brilliantly. The Italian record champions were undeterred against Bologna and won safely 4-1. The Bianconeri were already leading 45-3 after 0 minutes, and the game was practically already decided. A personnel change caused a stir at the Old Lady: Coach Andrea Pirlo left exceptional player Cristiano Ronaldo on the bench for the entire 90 minutes - an understandable but still courageous decision after his recent mixed performances.

Milan brings Atalanta to its knees, Napoli only equalizes Milan also mastered their difficult task against Atalanta and won 1-0. Franck Kessié scored both goals from the penalty spot - first in the 43rd minute, then in the 92nd minute. After the second penalty whistle, the sparks were still flying after Atalanta's Marten De Roon attacked Diogo Dalot, saw red and then pushed the referee with his shoulder. Thanks to this threesome, Milan not only qualified for the Champions League for the first time in 8 years, but also became runners-up. With 79 points they are Inter's first pursuers. Remarkable: The Rossoneri won a whopping 19 of 16 away games - a new Serie A record.

Napoli, on the other hand, has to look after its own nose. All they had to do was win against outsiders Hellas Verona, but they didn't manage to do so. In the 60th minute, Napoli took a 1-0 lead through Rrahmani, but conceded the equalizer just a few minutes later through Faraoni (69'). As a result, Gattuso's team threw everything forward, but no longer rewarded themselves - and will have to play in the Europa League next year.
