Lazio fights for derby victory, goal celebration in Empoli

After a furious start to the season with two clear wins against Empoli and La Spezia, Lazio had lost its footing. It was a disappointing 0-2 loss against Milan, and Cagliari and Torino each drew with each other.

In the derby, the negative trend should be ended if possible and the eternal rival should be outsmarted at the same time. With the exception of an unfortunate defeat against Hellas, Roma managed to impress under new coach José Mourinho and establish themselves in the upper ranks of the table. Lazio sets an example early – Roma stumbles As usual in the derby, the different starting positions meant nothing. Lazio put their city rivals under pressure early on and were able to take an early lead thanks to Sergej Milinkovic-Savic's header (10'). Newly promoted Salernitana was a guest at Sassuolo – and is still waiting for its first win of the season after matchday 6. Salernitana was able to stay in the game for a long time before Berardi gave the hosts the lead (54'). Meanwhile, Fiorentina was able to continue its own successful run and clinched fifth place in the table with a 1-0 win over Udinese. Lazio fights for derby victory, goal celebration in Empoli

The derby between Lazio and Roma was on Sunday. Although there were many goals to marvel at in the duel between Maurizio Sarri and José Mourinho, the Roman clash was not the highest-scoring game on Sunday. Empoli and Bologna delivered a real goal spectacle.
