Lazio postpones the Napoli party until Thursday
With a win for Sassuolo at Lazio, Napoli could have become champions early on Wednesday evening without playing. But because the Romans won the home game, the southern Italians can now win the third Scudetto in the club's history on Thursday in Udine.

Udinese threatens to have to “host” Napoli’s championship celebrations on Thursday. The Friulians will want to prevent this, but it is doubtful that they will succeed. Napoli have been looking forward to the match in Udine for days after the early Scudetto win in the derby against Salernitana didn't work out. On Wednesday evening, Lazio prevented the Napoli championship celebration. The Romans won 2-0 at home against Sassuolo. If the Emilians had won, Napoli would mathematically have been declared champions.
In the fight for the Champions League, Milan suffered a setback at home against Cremonese. With great difficulty the Milanese got a point. Junior Messias scored in stoppage time to make the final score 1-1. Roma also couldn't get past a draw against Monza (1:1). The remaining teams fighting for a place in the premier class won. Juventus beat Lecce 2-1, Atalanta won at home against Spezia (3-2) and Inter beat Verona 6-0.
