Milan and Juventus give each other nothing

Juventus has now rehabilitated itself again. For the ninth time in a row, the record champions remained unbeaten in Serie A. Meanwhile, Milan once again missed out on important points in the fight for the Scudetto after their defeat against Spezia. The game didn't necessarily deserve a winner, as both teams played well at times.

For the Rossoneri, the aim was to create a spectacle, especially on the left side. Theo Hernandez and Rafael Leao contributed seven scorer points in the previous four games. On the other hand, Massimiliano Allegri relied on the talent of Juan Cuadrado. The Colombian was moved into more attacking areas by his coach in order to heat up Milan's defense. This approach partially worked, especially in the first half of the game. After the first physical exchanges were made, Cuadrado made his first mark in the 12th minute. After identifying a gap in the center in front of Milan's penalty area, the right winger slipped through and finished. But Maignan didn't have to intervene, the ball went past the goal.

Just a few minutes later, a similar scene occurred on the other side. Leao tried the crowbar and prevailed in the middle. His shot on goal even had to be defused by Szczesny (20th). In the second half, however, the game lost a lot of quality. The spirit and liveliness of the first 45 minutes gave way to technical inaccuracies and midfield skirmishes. Every now and then the offensive lines got a few pinpricks, but they looked for highlights in vain. Milan tried again and again with high balls, but Giorgio Chiellini and Daniele Rugani were always there.

Looking at the table, Inter turned out to be the real winner of the evening. Thanks to the draw between their city rivals, Simone Inzaghi's team's lead is now four points. Milan is tied for second place with Napoli, followed by Atalanta. Juventus is stalking closer and closer to the top ranks and is now only one point behind fourth place. Milan and Juventus give each other nothing

The clash between Juventus and Milan showed that a top-class game can be played without goals. The top game at San Siro ended in a goalless draw on Sunday. League leaders Inter turned out to be a laughing third.
