Napoli wins top game – Milan angry at VAR

The southern Italians ultimately narrowly won an exciting game in Milan 1-0 and are now level on points with Milan, Inter's first pursuer. Meanwhile, Milan's city rivals can look forward to the “winter champion” title. With just one game remaining and a 4 point lead, the Nerazzurri, who already celebrated a resounding win against Salernitana on Saturday , can no longer be pushed out of the lead in the first half of the season and will go into the new year as league leaders.

Napoli's Eljif Elmas scored the 5-1 in the 0th minute after an early and strong period of pressure from the guests and thus the only goal in this top game. In an always exciting game, Milan put a lot of pressure on, especially towards the end. The equalizer was on the horizon and finally seemed to come in the 2nd minute of stoppage time: After some back and forth in the penalty area, Milan's Frank Kessie got to the ball and thundered it into the net. After a review, the equalizer was disallowed because Milan's Olivier Giroud was offside when the goal was created - right next to Napoli's Brazilian defender Juan Jesus.
