Napoli masterfully: Osimhen and Kvaratskhelia dismantle Juve

It was a goal spectacle at the “Stadio Diego Armando Maradona”. In a highly attractive game, the spectators saw no fewer than six goals. Luckily for the home fans, Napoli scored five goals. Juventus couldn't get the Azzurri's attacks under control and suffered their first defeat after eight league wins in a row. At the same time, the 1-5 defeat is the “Bianconeri’s” heaviest defeat of the current Serie A season.

The start of the game clearly belonged to the leaders. Napoli put the “Old Lady” under pressure throughout and repeatedly found themselves in promising situations by discovering the current season's Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and striker Victor Osimhen. The two Neapolitan stars were also the focus of the 1-0 win. Kvaratskhelia brought a cross towards the goal with a brilliant acrobatic performance, Wojciech Szczesny parried the first attempt, but the Polish national goalkeeper was unable to save the rebound that Osimhen headed into the goal (14th).

But it didn't end there. Angel Di Maria tried to clear up this deficit quickly, but unfortunately hit the ball on the top corner (20th). Shortly before the break, however, it was the Napoli dream duo that was successful again. This time Osimhen Kvaratskhelia laid the ball on, who left an opponent behind him and slammed the ball into the bottom left corner (39'). Juventus stayed in the game for a while with world champion Angel Di Maria's goal to make it 1-2 a few minutes later. After an assist from Arkadiusz Milik, the Argentine didn't give the Napoli keeper a chance (42').

But the showmanship of Kvaratskhelia and Co. continued in the second half. First, defender Amir Rrahmani converted a corner into the net (55th), then Osimhen scored his brace to make it 4-1 (65th). Again it was a header goal and again it was Kvaratskhelia who was credited with the assist here, as in the 1-0 and 3-1. The embarrassment for Juventus was complete when Eljif Elmas increased the score to 5-1.

The “Old Lady” had to put up with it and found no means against the lively attackers from Napoli. The final score was 5:1 in favor of the host. The leader thus increased his lead over pursuers Milan and Juventus to ten points. The Milanese play against Lecce on Saturday at 18 p.m.
