Re-start: Milan and Sampdoria are setting an example

Milan went ahead at lunchtime and reduced the gap to leaders Napoli to five points. The Vesuv kickers will be in action in the top game against Inter this evening. Milan won the restart at Salernitana 2-1.

The result sounds closer than the game was. The Pioli team dominated the game from the start in Salerno. The team's two best players, Raphael Leao and Sandro Tonali, put the champions on course for victory in the first half. Only the new Salernitana keeper Ochoa prevented Milan from taking an even higher lead. Bonazzoli's goal in the final phase was nothing more than a cosmetic result.
