Riccardo Montolivo leaves AC Milan amid dispute

After seven seasons and four years as captain, he was not allowed to play a single minute last season. As a result, the club did not give him the opportunity to say goodbye to the fans in Milan's Giuseppe Meazza Stadium.

In the post, he thanked the fans for their support during his years at the club as an “injured captain and human being”. “I have always fulfilled my duty as a professional. Wounds heal and the love for the Milan jersey remains forever... Forza Milan!,” he wrote.
