Milan doesn't let up - Ibra is thrown off the pitch

The Milanese won 3-1 at Parma on Saturday and reduced the gap to leaders Inter to 8 points. The city rival can restore the old gap (12.30 points) against Cagliari on Sunday (11 p.m.). Even though Milan are now only outsiders in the fight for the Scudetto, the win against Parma was extremely important, at least with regard to Champions League qualification. For Parma, however, the situation in the relegation battle is getting worse after this defeat.

Ante Rebic put Milan in front in the 8th minute on Saturday after a pass from Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The 2-0 was achieved by midfielder Franck Kessie, who tipped the ball into the goal after preparatory work by Theo Hernandez. After Zlatan Ibrahimovic was shown a red card in the 60th minute (he is said to have insulted referee Maresca), Parma scored a 1-2 goal a short time later. In the afternoon game, Spezia gained some breathing room in the relegation battle. Former FCS player Martin Erlic scored in stoppage time for a 3-2 win against bottom-placed Crotone. In the evening game, Torino had the upper hand at Udinese 1-0. The Turin team temporarily extended their lead over the relegation zone to 5 points. National striker Andrea Belotti scored the decisive goal with a penalty.
