The golfers show their class in Lana

The “Bini-Systmes Golf Open”, one of the largest and most important tournaments in the region, took place for the 23rd time this weekend at the Golf Club Lana (Gutshof Brandis).

Four cannon launches were scheduled over two days. The winners were then chosen and donations were diligently collected at a big gala evening in the Kurhaus Merano. As part of a lottery, 5500 euros were raised for “South Tyrol helps”.

Felix Schrott, born in 1999, won the tournament with four under par. In the women's category, Manuela Mahlknecht (Quellenhof) celebrated with three over par. The victory in the “Netto 1st Cat.” went to Christian Christanell (Andrian) ahead of Konrad Schieder (Lana). In the “Netto 2nd Cat.”, Fabrizio Facchin (Eppan) won ahead of Heinrich Dorfer (Quellenhof). The victory in the “Netto 3rd Cat.” went to Johannes Matscher (Lana) ahead of Andrea Marchiori (Innsbruck). Hubert Hofer prevailed in the senior ranking.

“The fact that so many sports-loving players took part again this year makes me particularly happy and makes me happy,” enthuses organizer Maximilian Bini. Co-organizer Günter Wimmer is also overwhelmed by the great interest: “The many passionate and golf-loving participants have made this event what it is today - one of the largest golf tournaments in northern Italy. After a two-year Corona break, we were able to seamlessly return to previous participation records.”

After a two-year break, the Bini Systems golf tournament was held again in Lana at the weekend. Around 200 players showed a lot of commitment and skill.
