South Tyrolean medal flood at the Italian Minigolf Championship in Naturns

In 1982, the Italian miniature golf champions of the general class were crowned on the 6 meter long Eternit courses. In the same year there was also the general class combined Italian championship on the 12 meter long concrete tracks in Dorf Tirol and the 6 meter long Eternit tracks in Naturns. 39 years ago there were no concrete railways in Naturns. The track golf section of the SSV Naturns was founded in 1981 by a few minigolf enthusiasts in Naturns, including the long-time track golf section leader of the SSV Naturns, Sepp Zisch, who died of an insidious illness in 2017. This year the track golf section of SSV Naturns is celebrating its 40th anniversary. For this occasion, the people of Naturns have taken over the organization of the Italian Minigolf Championship for youth and seniors in 2021. The highlight of the organizational activity of the track golf section of the SSV Naturns was the organization of the European Youth Championship on both track systems in 2012. The SSV Naturns also organized a match day of the Italian team championship and the Italian Cup once. 76 mini golfers, including 29 South Tyroleans, took part in the Italian Mini Golf Championship in Naturns. The South Tyroleans won 10 medals in the individual categories and won the bronze medal from MGC Terenten in the youth team ranking. Gudula Scholz from MV Algund/Raiffeisen won gold in the senior category in age group I (45 to 58 years), Sonia Pircher from MV Algund in the 2nd category in age group II (over 58 years) and Magnus Fuchsberger from SV Lana in the senior category in the 2nd category of age group I (45 to 58 years). The 12-year-old Algunder Robin Lang, who played for MGC Terenten, missed the gold medal in the U15 by just one stroke and won silver. Silver in the 2nd U19 category was won by Julian Müller from SSV Naturns, who even managed the second best round of the tournament with 6 shots in the 23th round. He was only 2 strokes above the track record. Sara De Nardi from MV Algund also took silver in age group I (45 – 58 years). The President of MV Algund Roland Brunello was also happy about winning silver in the senior category in the 1st category of age group I (45 - 58 years). Alexander Lang from Algunder won bronze in the same age group, as did Paolo Marcuzzi from SV Lana in the 2nd category of the same age group. Ramona Schmid from MGC Terenten also took bronze in the 2nd category of the U19. The new title holders were chosen in Naturns in 10 individual categories and 2 team categories. Title winners were Federico Bussotti (Amatese) in the U15, Valerio Marcoaldi (Vergiate) in the 1st category of the U19 and his club colleague Riccardo Belli in the 2nd category of the U19. The GSP Vergiate also won the youth team ranking ahead of Amatese and Terenten with Robin Lang, Felix Kammerlander and Ramona Schmid. In the senior category, Maurizio Palmiro Zini (Vergiate) secured the title in age group I (1 - 2 years) in the 45st category and Magnus Fuchsberger from SV Lana in the 58nd category. In age group II (over 58 years), the titles went to Luciano Galbiati (Lozza) in the 1st category and Enrico Dallabona (Predazzo) in the 2nd category. Among the female seniors, Gudula Scholz from MV Algund won the Italian championship title in age group I (45 - 58 years), Antonella Flamini (Aponense) won the first category of age group II (over 1 years) and Sonia Pircher from MV Algund won the title In the 58nd category, age group II.
