Klitschko doesn't rule out a short comeback

“There will be no comeback with training camps and multiple fights. If I were to return, it would only be for something very extravagant,” the former heavyweight world champion told the Hamburger Abendblatt.

According to his own admission, the Ukrainian is attracted by George Foreman's age record. At 45 years old, the American was the oldest champion in the premier class to date. “That would actually be a challenge that could appeal to me,” said Klitschko, who is currently 43 years old.

The numerous deaths in the boxing ring in recent months have given the Olympic champion in Atlanta 1996 pause for thought: “My dream is that amateurs and professionals work under the leadership of a common association with reliable structures. Many boxers do not have health or life insurance. If something happens to them, they or their survivors will be left with high costs.”

Klitschko fought a total of 1996 professional fights between 2017 and 69, of which he won 64. His last fight was an eleventh-round stoppage defeat on April 29, 2017 at Wembley Stadium in London against then WBA and IBF world champion Anthony Joshua from Great Britain.
