Alex Posch and “Jergina” shine in Naturns

The 22-year-old from Brixen brought down 657 woods on the converted track (393 full, 264 clearances) and thus achieved a new individual track record. At the same time, with his incredible haul, Alex Posch also played a key role in setting the new team track record of 3632 pins, including his Puster teammates Oswald Weger (591), Ludwig Messner (613), Günther Plaickner (593), Robert Larcher (595) and Andreas Bodner (583) contributed. The reward was a 7-1 away win against Naturns, which knocked down 3570 pins. In the Naturns ranks, Kurt Fliri (602), Roland Wallnöfer (625) and Christian Mocanu (619) exceeded the 600-pin mark.

The top trio didn't let anything go wrong on matchday 14. Neumarkt prevailed in the home game against the Ratschings selection 7:1 (3426:3307) and was once again able to rely on Robert Ernyesi, who scored 603 pins. Passeier retained the upper hand away from home against relegation-threatened Jenesien (7:1/3422:3246). Here Passeier's captain Oswald Kofler achieved the best individual result with 617 pins. Fugger Sterzing won the difficult away game against “feared opponents” Sarnthein 5:3 (3375:3281) and was driven by captain Reinhard Gruber (600).

The derby between Tirol Mutspitz and Algund was a clear affair, which the guests won 7:1 (3271:3173). Christian Mair was the best player in the match, hitting 575 “wedges” for Algunder. Burggräfler crushed bottom team Montan 8-0 (3469:3292). Ivan Costadedoi bowled 607 for the hosts.

There was also excellent bowling in the lower leagues on the third day of the second half of the season. Martin Fissneider (Prichsna/A600-Ost/2), Kurt Plunger (Überetsch/A612-West/2) and Predrag Rapo (Nals/B-West/601) cracked the 617 mark.

Women: Mutspitz adjusts the hierarchy In the top women's league there was a top encounter between Tirol Mutspitz and Vöran Blecherne on matchday 14. The hosts retained the upper hand 4-2 and regained third place, which they had lost to the Vöran women last week. Villnöß secured second place in the table thanks to a 5-1 away win at Meran. Passeier (at home against bottom team Kiens) and Los Birillos (away against Ratschings) also won 5-1. Meanwhile, Plose collected two important points in the relegation battle, celebrating a 4-2 win in Silandro. Leader Fugger Sterzing has postponed his match against Pfeffersberg because Enikö Tòt was in action at the Individual World Cup in Prerov.

The top performances of the week were achieved by the bowlers Petra Dorfmann (Los Birillos/529), Jasmin Ladurner (Tirol Mutspitz/533), Nikolina Ratschiller (Schlanders/575), Nathalie Profanter (Villnöß/598) and Doris Libardi (Passeier/542).
