Jenesien lands the liberating blow

The sextet from Tschöggelberg swept a strong 3418 woods off the track on their home track in the Pichl sports zone and won 31:6 with a lead of 2 pins. The decisive factor was the more compact team performance from Jenesien: The six throwers all played a number of balls between 562 and 577. It was not important that Burggräfler player Peter Gilg shone with 604 pins. Thanks to the home success, Jenesien leaves the bottom of the table and is in the “saving” tenth place in the ranking - for the time being.

Lana also scored very important points in the relegation battle, winning at home against the Ratschings selection with 6:2 (3330:3271). Predrag Rapo impressed across the board with 602 pins. Leader Fugger Sterzing won his home game against Sarnthein 7:1 (3483:3253) and is only one win away from the perfect first half of the season and the autumn championship title. The best player was Thomas Weiskopf (Vipiteno), who left the counter at 615 pins.

The Unterlandler Derby went to champions Neumarkt, who swept Kurtatsch off the floor without the ailing Tamas Kiss 7:1 (3640:3316). Here Gábor Kovács knew how to impress with 641 blades. St. Georgen also recorded a home win on the positive side. The “Jergina” brought Naturns to its knees 5:3 (3375:3280). Alex Posch was able to celebrate the best performance of the day in St. Georgen's ranks with 584 pins. Passeier sent bottom team Schnals on their way home 6:2 (3388:3278). Here Hanspeter Pfitscher (Passeier) underlined his current top form with 594 pins.

Women: Fugger Sterzing wins the top game – Villnöß with a new track record

Thanks to a smooth 6-0 win in the duel with Tirol Mutspitz, Fugger Sterzing has got a competitor for the championship title. The autumn champions are already seven points ahead of the third-placed team from Dorf Tirol, and six points ahead of second-placed Villnöß. The Villnößer women set a new track record with a 5-1 victory over Burggräfler. The quartet brought down 2268 pieces of wood on the bowling alley at the fire station in Riffian and broke the old record. Irene Oberhofer (556), Simone Profanter (558), Laura Runggatscher (547) and the brilliant Nathalie Profanter were involved with the day's best performance of 607 pins.

The score was 6-0 after the last ball played in the Eisacktal derby between Plose and Los Birillos. Passeier scored important points in the relegation battle with the 5-1 away win against Deutschnofen, as did Pfalzen thanks to the 4-2 win at Pfeffersberg. The only division of points in the tenth round was in Meran between the Passerstädter women and Vöran Blecherne.

This time Sandra Lerchner (Falzen/6), Waltraud Haller (Passeier/545), Christine Innerhofer (Vöran Blecherne/554), Nathalie Profanter (Villnöß/538), Petra Stockner (Plose/607) made it into the top 578 of the week ) and Marion Thaler (Fugger Sterzing/566).
